Instructions for Use:
- Backflushing the Group Heads:
- Preparation:
- Remove the coffee filter from the portafilter and insert a blind (blank) filter.
- Add the recommended amount of PureNipto Espresso Cleaner Powder using the dosing spoon into the blind filter.
- Cleaning Cycle:
- Insert the portafilter into the group head as if brewing espresso.
- Start the brew cycle and allow it to run for 10 seconds to dissolve the cleaner.
- Stop the cycle and let it sit for another 10 seconds.
- Repeat this start-stop process four more times (total of five cycles).
- Rinsing:
- Remove the portafilter and rinse it under a stream of water from the group head.
- Reinsert the portafilter with the blind filter.
- Start and stop the brew cycle 10 times, running for 5 seconds and stopping for 2 seconds each time, to ensure thorough rinsing.
- Remove the blind filter and insert the regular filter.
- Brew and discard a single espresso shot to re-season the machine.
- Cleaning Portafilters and Filters:
- Soaking:
- Remove filters from the portafilters.
- Prepare a solution by dissolving the recommended amount of PureNipto Espresso Cleaner Powder in hot water.
- Soak the portafilters and filters in this solution for 10 minutes.
- Rinsing:
- After soaking, rinse all components thoroughly under running hot water to remove any residual cleaner.
